Ready to see some of the “real” people behind the scenes? No fancy studio pictures in this bunch…we are as we are! And this post is how it is…because I freely admit I’m not an expert in multiple-photo posts!

We had a great time at the conference, met up with Trisha and Lori, had some casual conversation (homeschoolers are hippies, and just about everyone looks better in a cowboy hat), and some biz conversation (our courses appeal to learners from the Baby Boomers to Gen Y and beyond, and we want to add more in the near future!).

Below, the four of us, left to right: Heather (alternative medicine), Jessica (nursing blogger, social media coordinator), Trisha (founder, healthcare practice manager), Lori (marketing).

Trish and I at our booth…working really hard (*cough*).

Heather and Lori working even harder…

The conference “event” on Tuesday night was an outing to the Grand Ol’ Opry. Yeehaw! As a result of my exposure to this illustrious hub of all things country, I reserve the right to use “YA’LL” as many times as appropriate in this post, thank you Nashville!

The gift shop had a selection of blinged-out cowgirl hats…how could I NOT post Lori sporting this one!

Trisha gave a lecture on Cultivating a Culture of Learning: Push vs. Pull…..and I took notes! Are we figuratively behind people pushing them to “learn” just to check a box and sign a paper? Or does our facility’s culture of learning promote autonomy and choice, and reward people for taking the initiative? Online learning, especially the broad course selection on our Coursepark learning network, offers choice and encourages autonomy, thus leading to less reluctance and more interest!  (End of sales pitch…ha!)

Last, but not least….Heather and I saw this bus bench outside the hotel, and had to take a picture of it. Elizabeth (from Living Sublime Wellness), if you’re looking at this post, this one’s for YOU. (*grin*)

And there YA’LL have it! We are still looking for guest bloggers, potential nursing course writers, subject matter experts, and those nurses with simply a story to tell! Contact Trisha or Lori at nursing@coursepark.com or myself at jessicaellis@coursepark.com for more information.

TOGETHER, we learn more!!
